Learning Objectives

Our overall learning objectives are to provide opportunities for your child to develop socially, academically, and spiritually. We use Creative Curriculum for Preschool for our 3 and 4 year old classes which is a MD state approved preschool curriculum. We also use Second Step Early Learning curriculum for teaching social emotional skills.  These curriculums encourage children's natural curiosity about the world and challenges them to use their senses, to ask questions, and to find the answers.

Curriculum

Each month we use various themes to engage the children in learning specific school readiness skills. Some of the skills we focus on include opposites, letters, numbers, colors and shapes. Each month, these skills are included in our monthly school Newsletter.  Here is a sample of our focus for the month of February for our 4 year old class:

Ready At Five

https://www.cushycms.com/temporary_uploads/211356/websitemadelyn.jpgChildren enrolled in formal early education programs tend to be better prepared for school.  The data shows that programs such as ours are extrememly beneficial.  The Maryland State Department of Education compiles a report at the end of each year about school readiness under the "Ready at Five" initiative.  In the 2021-2022 Maryland School Readiness Report, the data has consistently shown over the years that children who attend a formal early learning program, such as Non-public Nursery Schools like Trinity Learning Center, have demonstrated increased Kindergarten readiness over those children who were at home or in informal care. Trinity Learning Center is proud to be a part of these well-performing group of centers!
